CULTURAL RESOURCES
Interpretive Services
Historic and archaeological projects tend to attract attention. A frequent response to this interest is the development of an interpretive plan that may include museum displays, press releases, oral histories, popular accounts, brochures, or video production.
aci consulting is part of aci group LLC which includes Peel-Paulson Design Studio, Inc. We comprise a team of historians, archaeologists, and professional designers who work with clients to incorporate the historic message into an appealing interpretive product. The intent is not only to inform the public about a historic or prehistoric resource, but to provide the client with a positive, useable product to support their objectives.
Public education is frequently part of the basic mitigation requirements specified by federal and state agencies. These agencies themselves routinely employ history as public education as an important segment of their operations. Private developers frequently utilize public education as a means of enriching property values and for general goodwill gestures, positive press and media coverage.
The aci consulting/PPDS Interpretive Services team designs displays, exhibits, brochures, books, websites, historic training videos, and school curricula for educators. We also offer historic concept development, museum design and planning, historic and curation training for museum personnel, Cultural Resource Management reports, scholarly and popular articles, house histories, lectures.
