CULTURAL RESOURCES

The Cultural Resources Division of aci consulting assists civil engineers, planners, and developers in meeting state and federal regulations by providing archaeological assessments required to obtain permits for development and expansion. Our cultural resources professionals have experience working with all levels of government and maintain a close working relationship with the Texas Historical Commission, the Texas Department of Transportation, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

aci consulting  performs cultural resource projects in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, and the regulations of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.  We offer a range of services such as, sensitivity assessments, site locational studies, site examinations, data recovery programs for a variety of projects such as highway improvements, gas pipelines, airport development, bridge replacement, town planning, golf courses, and historic properties and museums.

aci consulting staff includes experts in both historic and prehistoric archaeology. These experts have a great deal of experience in the cost-effective identification of significant sites that may be in a development area, a proposed highway corridor, or a federally owned installation. If significant sites are identified, we carefully coordinate with our valued clients and the federal and state authorities in taking the next steps. We provide solutions for the preservation or mitigation of the site. At aci consulting, we are confident in our demonstrated ability to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to cultural resource issues.
