Steve Paulson, Vice President of aci consulting, is an environmental consultant with over 20 years of experience in federal, state, and local regulatory permitting. Mr. Paulson is a nationally recognized expert on the Endangered Species Act and has drafted and received authorization for over 40 Section 10(a)(1)(B) incidental take permits from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Mr. Paulson is also experienced in preparing documents for NEPA (Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, and Categorical Exclusions) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (such as Wetland Delineations, Nationwide Permits, and Individual Permits). Mr. Paulson is certified by the State of Texas in the areas of Protected Species Habitat Determinations, Impact Evaluation Assessments, Biological Surveys, Section 404 Nationwide Permits, Section 404 Individual Permits, Wetland Delineations, Biological Surveys, and Environmental Document Preparation.

In addition, Mr. Paulson is permitted by the USFWS to conduct habitat evaluations and censusing surveys for various endangered species. Relevant projects involving Mr. Paulson include preparation of EA/HCP for a property in Travis County, Texas involving the golden-cheeked warbler and Barton Springs salamander; preparation of sections of an Environmental Impact Statement, Section 7 Consultation, and preparation of Biological Assessment for jaguarondi and ocelot in Maverick County, Texas; preparation of Section 404 Individual Permit for the Lake Creek Improvements Project in Williamson County, Texas; and, preparation of Environmental Impact Statement and Section 7 Consultation for the bald eagle in Washington D.C.
